Seems Vander went up alone yesterday early morning to Mangart top exit on a shuttle bus, and unfortunately hit terrain midflight.

After not checking in with his friend upon landing his friend called in the rescue team. One rescuer had explained that his canopy was still in container and had impacted in mid flight when found.
