Roy Kenneth Roland

It was the 5th or 6th jump on the trip. It was a three way track from High Nose. It was the first jump in the morning, it was sunny and no wind. The mood of the group cheerful. Roy was jumping in the middle and counting down. He exited first. Good exit and start. Went a bit steeper than the rest of the group. He was going faster and lower than the rest of the three way. He started to pull over the road or very close to it. He was low by then. The canopy inflated right before he impacted in the field crop around 30 meters on the other side of the road. We will never know for sure why Roy Kenneth pulled so low, but there is a couple of elements that might have been contributing factors. Roy Kenneth had felt improvements on his tracking, maybe that was the reason he pushed it to far. The road is a landmark on that jump and its common for people to want to track past it. Also he had complained about his ski-googles he jumped with not being optimal to see through. Roy Kenneth was a good friend, very positive and full of life and an all around awesome guy. He is greatly missed by family and friends.
