In the morning, we jumped Paganella Grotte. It was his second time on this exit, and he was delighted with this line high above the cliff, featuring a beautiful flight over the forest for its entire length. He flew very well and safely in his wingsuit, demonstrating good awareness, perception, and anticipation.

After this flight, we headed to the Dolomites.

Tanguy started the hike to Castello delle Nevere at 3:30 p.m. He was in great shape and highly motivated, as usual. In just two hours, he reached the summit. He had already analyzed the weather and knew that the clouds would begin to clear from 6:00 p.m. onward. He therefore waited until the line was clear and made a phone call to confirm the wind conditions at the landing area.

It was his first time jumping this exit. The line was well below his skill level and was intended as a warm-up before we planned to attempt High Castello the following day.

6:03 p.m. – Last phone call.

He flew the line entirely on the left side and impacted a section of the forest near the end where the terrain rises.

At this time, we do not yet have access to the camera footage or GPS data.

Tanguy was a very experienced and consistent practitioner who was fully aware of his abilities. His loss is a profound one.
