Description

//// ENGLISH (French below) ////
Olivier was alone on this jump, this information's come from his previous contacts and precisions of the rescue service.

Last August 2025, Olivier went to this exit to discover the place and analyse some information's, before he intended to jump it. On this Friday, the decision was to jump alone. He begin the hike in the morning he was in very good shape and take a break the Saturday to avoid to be tired for the 2000m hike. He jumped at 12:00pm.
The chosen line was the one on the Topo, reputed very difficult for the glide and weather (thermal conditions necessary)

He was discovered by the rescue services near the lake de la Balmette, with no PC pulled, before a relief to reach after impact during flight. He died instantly.

We think a lack of glide induce to lose speed and stall at very low altitude.

Olivier flew in an engaged manner, often at very low altitude and high speed. He was a talented wingsuiter, despite a moderate number of jump (approx. 100 jumps / year).
His suit was recent, but he had already done glide performance flights with it.
It was a very hot day, which may have degraded flight performance, something he has probably anticipated.
He was used to waiting for the necessary thermal conditions for this type of jump.

Olivier will be deeply missed, he was a beautiful person, and someone I truly loved sharing those moments with, both in the mountains and outside.

My heart goes out to his wife and two children.

/// FRANCAIS ///
